Buckland, St Michael
St Michael, the Parish Church of Buckland is easy to find. There is a road that runs through the village and it is on the South side of the road pretty close to the middle of the village. The church is in a prominent position on a raised bank and is built of cotswold stone. The ringing room, which is quite small, is on the ground floor of the tower and is accessed from inside the church. The sound of the bells from inside the ringing room was quite quiet but they are nice to ring.
I visited for the first time on Saturday 19th May 2007 as part of our 2007 tour.
The tower has a peal of 6 bells.
