I visited for the first time on Saturday 18th September 2010 as the first tower [2nd] on the W&DCRA Southern Branch tour.
I started by ringing up bell #4 followed by a touch of Plain Bob Minor. Later I rang a touch on Grandsire Doubles on bell #3. These are really light bells but they were easier to ring than I had feared they might be.
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 6 bells with a tenor weighing 4-2-25 in C. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Mary and more information is provided by the Gloucester & Bristol Diocesan Association of Church Bell Ringers.
