Buckland, St Michael
St Michael, the Parish Church of Buckland is easy to find. There is a road that runs through the village and it is on the South side of the road pretty close to the middle of the village. The church is in a prominent position on a raised bank and is built of cotswold stone. The ringing room, which is quite small, is on the ground floor of the tower and is accessed from inside the church. The sound of the bells from inside the ringing room was quite quiet but they are nice to ring.

My second visit on Friday 29th November 2013 was to ring the tenor for a Quarter Peal of Mixed Doubles. I rang up bell #4 and rang down bell #2. Bell #4 needed work to keep it moving.
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 6 bells with a tenor weighing ~14-0-0 in F#. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Michael.
