Titchfield, St Peter
The parish church of St Peter, Titchfield is located east of the village and backs on to a watercourse that is an offshoot of the River Meon. The church is at the end of Church Street and the chance of parking on the approach is negligible. The ringing room is reached by climbing a short stone stairway which rises on the left of the main entrance to the church. The room is not very big but there is space for several to sit while ringing takes place.

I visited for the first time on Sunday 5th November 2017 and joined the Service ringing. There were more than enough people to ring the six bells but they encouranged me to join in the varied ringing. I rang bell #4 for Bob Minor and Stedman Doubles as well as the Tenor covering for Grandsire Doubles and and also ended by ringing the Tenor down, a very enjoyable morning ringing with a capable and welcoming group.
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 6 bells with a tenor weighing 11-3-10 in F#. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Peter and more information is provided by the Winchester and Portsmouth Diocesan Guild.
