I visited for the first time on Thursday 21st January 2010 for the "Two Hundred and Fourtythird Mid-week Outing" of the Four Shires Guild of Bell Ringers. I rang the Tenor for a touch of Grandsire Doubles and later rang #3 for another touch of Grandsire Doubles and then rang it down. They rang quite nicely, the only problem was that on ehat was a cold day some ringers found it very cold ringing here.
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 6 bells with a tenor weighing 9-0-20 in A. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Peter and more information is provided by the Oxford Diocesan Guild of Church Bell Ringers.
