Bletchingdon, St Giles
The parish Church of St Giles, Bletchingdon is situated north east of the main part of the village at the end of Tollbrook Corner. Here it lies nestled in amongst buildings of Bletchington Park. There is plenty of parking by the churchyard.
This is a ground floor ring. The ringing room is painted white and has a contemporary glass and wood door filling the arch on to the nave. The church interior has a lot more very nice contemporary improvements, even on a cold winter's day it was light and pleasantly warm.

My first visit was on Thursday 17th January 2013 as the fourth, and last, tower
[1st,

of the 279th Mid-week Outing
of the
Four Shires Guild.
As we arrived snow flurries presaged the forecast storm so I planned a short visit to ensure that I get on my way before dark. I started by ringing up bell #4, a little later I rang it again for a touch of Plain Bob Minor. A short visit but a pleasant one.
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 6 bells with a tenor weighing 8-0-1 in A. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Giles and more information is provided by the Oxford Diocesan Guild of Church Bell Ringers.
