Chelmarsh, St. Peter

I rang at St Peter, the Parish Church of Chelmarsh as part of a tour in 2006. The Church was rebuilt in 1345 on the site of an earlier Norman Church. Access to the ropes involved a spiral staircase which led to a room with glass all around! It was a medium length pull and nice, flexible, well worn in ropes. We were warned that #3 was a little difficult.

The Bells

There was no information on the bells anywhere that I could find. There were six bells and the tenor was reputed to be 10cwt.

The tower has a ring of 6 bells with a tenor weighing ~10-0-0 in G. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Peter.
