Beoley, St Leonard
The Beoley parish church of St Leonard is situated on the north side of Church Hill (B4101), turn at the War Memorial. There are a few parking spaces beside the church.
This is an attractive church in an well maintained churchyard built on the hillside sloping towards the west.
The ringing room is very nice with a large window facing west and an arch with curved glass facing on to the nave. The bells are nice to ring.

I visited for the first time on Saturday 28th April 2012. The tower was one of those open for ringing prior to the W&DCRA AGM.
I rang up bell #7 and rang down bell #6, we only rang on the back six. In the interim I rang Plain Bob Doubles on bell #7, Rounds & Call Changes on the Tenor and Grandsire Doubles on bell #6. A pity that there weren't enough to ring all eight, perhaps next time.

My second visit was on Thursday 13th December 2012 with the Four Shires Guild as part of their 278st Mid-week Outing
. I was unable to make the morning towers and could only make this one and Alvechurch.
On this occasion we had sufficient numbers to ring all eight bells. I started by ringing up bell #5. My only touch of the day was to ring Stedman Triples, I still do not get to ring this very often so was pleased to get to the end with only one mistake that I managed to overcome.
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 8 bells with a tenor weighing 10-2-20 in F#. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Leonard. No information on the bells history or inscriptions was to be found in the tower.
The Worcestershire & Districts Change Ringing Association have additional information on St Leonard, Beoley.
