Broadwas, St Mary Magdalene
The Broadwas Parish Church of St Mary Magdalene is at the end of Church Lane in the southwest of this small village. The River Teme is a stone's throw west of the church. There is ample parking at the end of Church Lane near the church.
St Mary Magdalene's is a small, but very nicely kept, church. The ringing takes place from a platform overlooking the nave and is reached by climbing a wooden staircase.

I visited for the first time on Thursday 14th April 2011 as the second tower

of the 258th Mid-week Outing
of the
Four Shires Guild.
As the organiser of this trip I didn't have much time to ring but managed to ring up bell #3 followed by a touch of Grandsire Doubles. The bells are quite light but at least #3 seemed fine to me.
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 5 bells with a tenor weighing 4-0-20 in C♯. The tenor was cast by John of Gloucester, circa 1350. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Mary Magdalene and more information is provided by the Worcestershire & Districts Change Ringing Association..
