Dodderhill, St Augustine of Canterbury
The Dodderhill parish church of St Augustine of Canterbury is located at the end of Church Lane atop a hill overlooking Droitwich Spa. The church is T shaped with the tower at the south transept. The entrance to the tower is inside the church and the spacious ringing room is reached by climbing a 31 step spiral staircase. Small windows on three sides of the tower admit some natural light. There is a parking at the end of Church Lane beside the church.

My first visit was on Monday 28th March 2016 when I joined others on the tour prior to the W&DCRA AGM. Initially there were just 8 ringers and we kicked off with a touch of Stedman Triples. I had warned everyone of my lack of mastery but with an ocassional hint I managed to ring a fairly complex touch. This was one one and only ring that day but I felt that the experience had been a valuable one. I rang bell #5 and that was easy enough to ring.
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 8 bells with a tenor weighing 18-2-4 in Eb. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Augustine of Canterbury.
