Ombersley, St Andrew
The Ombersley parish church of St Andrew is in a large churchyard on the west side of the A4133 that runs north/south through the village and just south of the roundabout. The church was built in the 1820's and the remains of the old church are also in the churchyard. I parked on the road nearby. The entrance to the tower outside the church at the west end. A 21 step spiral staircase takes you up to the small ringing room with one small window. There is a few seats for anyone not ringing one of the six bells

My first visit was on Monday 28th March 2016 when I joined others on the tour prior to the W&DCRA AGM. I started by ringing bell #5 for a touch of Plain Bob Minor, the bell was not easy to handle. I then rang bell #2 for a touch of Grandsire doubles followed by the treble for some Cambridge. I ended my visit by ringing down bell #4. I wasn't the only one to find some of the bells a bit tricky, the Tenor was also providing some challenges.
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 6 bells with a tenor weighing 16-1-3 in E. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Andrew.
