Shrawley, St Mary

St Mary's, the Parish Church of Shrawley required some "exploring" and circuitous driving to locate. The tower is built of the local sandstone. It is a nice little church with no staircase since ringing is from ground level which means quite a long pull.

I visited for the first time on Saturday 9^th October 2004 as part of our 2004 tour.

The bells were cast by Thomas Rudhall in 1772.
