Stoulton, St Edmund King and Martyr
Stoulton Parish Church is situated, appropriately enough, in Church Lane. The ringing room is reached by climbing a short spiral staircase from inside the tower. The room is a nice space with plenty of light coming from a large window on the west side and another large open arch on the east side that looks over the nave. It also has an attractive wood paneled ceiling.
There is a limited amount of parking beside the church.

I visited for the first time on Tuesday 3rd July 2007. There were nine folks including me at the practice a couple of whom I had met at other towers. I rang up on bell #5 followed by a plain course of Plain Bob Doubles on bell #3. They then rang some methods that were beyond my abilities including Single Oxford; a full course of Plain Bob Doubles ("six score"); Stedman doubles; Plain Bob Minor; Grandsire Doubles all with bobs and/or singles. I then did another couple of plain courses of Plain Bob Doubles on bell #3 and then a couple of plain courses of Plain Bob Doubles on bell #2 which with a little guidance went ok. They made a lovely job of ringing down.

I visited for the second time on Thursday 3rd September 2009 with the goal of ringing my first Quarter Peal of Plain Bob Minor. With able assistance I managed to achieve the Quarter Peal!
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 6 bells with a tenor weighing 7-0-5 in B. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Edmund and additional information is available at the Worcestershire & Districts Change Ringing Association. No information on the bells history or inscriptions was to be found in the tower.
