Windrush, St Peter
The Parish Church of St Peter is in the middle of this quiet Cotswold village of Windrush. The church is on the east side of the village "triangle". Parking is limited to the roadside.
The ringing takes place on the ground floor. The ring is anticlockwise.

I visited for the first time on Thursday 19th January 2012 as the first tower
[2nd]
of the 267th Mid-week Outing
of the
Four Shires Guild.
The ropes were quite short on the day we visited and anticlockwise ring gave a little frissons at first. I only rang bell #3, initially to ring up and followed by a touch of Plain Bob Minor. The more we rang them, the better the ringing. They are not very loud from inside but they sound quite nice from outside the church.
At the time of our visit the sculpture "Resurrection" was on display at the entrance to the ringing area at the base of the tower.
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 6 bells with a tenor weighing 7-1-13 in A♭. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Peter and some additional information provided by The Gloucester & Bristol Diocesan Association of Church Bell Ringers.
