Claverdon, St Michael and All Angels
St Michael and All Angels Church is on the North side of Church Road in the South-east area of Claverdon. There is roadside parking nearby. A short spiral staircase which you enter from inside the tower leads up to the ringing room. The room has two large arched windows, one looking to the West with a window seat, and a second overlooking the nave. These windows make the ringing room really bright and cheerful.
I visited for the first time on Saturday 5th July 2008 as part of our 2008 tour. I started by ringing up bell #2. This turned out to be a little awkward as people were sitting in the window seat and this made it difficult to stand in a position that allows you to ring properly as well being able to see the other ringers. All the bells that I rang went very nicely and everything about the place was very pleasant.
The tower has a ring of 6 bells with a tenor weighing 11-1-23 in F♯. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Michael and All Angels.
The Coventry Diocesan Guild of Church Bellringers also have information on the Claverdon Parish Church of St Michael and All Angels Church.
