Ilmington, St Mary
The Ilmington Parish Church of St Mary is in the middle of the village between Front Street and Back Street. The Norman church has many features but one unusual set of features are the carved mice (by Robert Thomson of Kilburn). I will leave it to you, the reader, to figure out how many and where they are.
St Mary's is a ground floor ring with a long draught.

I visited for the first time on Saturday 31st October 2015 to join the weekly practice of the Four Shires Guild.
I started by ringing up bell #5. During the evening I also rang: bell #4 for Grandsire Striples; bell #5 for Rounds & Call Changes; bell #2 for Plain Bob Major; the tenor for Rounds & Call Changes; and finished by ringing bell #6 for Stedman Triples. A good evening of ringing!
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 8 bells with a tenor weighing 12-3-26 in E. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Mary.
The Coventry Diocesan Guild of Church Bellringers also have information on the Ilmington Parish Church of St Mary.
