Whitnash, St Margaret
The Whitnash Parish Church of St Margaret is in the east of this small town. The church is set back a little from Whitnash Road between Church Lane and Church Close. You might find a few spaces to park on Church Lane and there is a church car park off Church Close.
The ringing room is reached by climbing a short ladder from inside the tower. Entrance to the church, and hence tower, is through the south door. The ringing room is not very big but does have a couple of seats for anyone not ringing.

I visited for the first time on Friday 20th January 2012 to join their weekly practice.
There were only six of us to start with so we started by raising the back six with me on bell #7. We then rang a touch of Grandsire Doubles followed by a touch of Plain Bob Minor. While ringing a few more turned up so from then on we mostly rang on the eight.
We proceeded to ring touches of Plain Bob Triples and Grandsire triples and attempted Stedman Triples which didn't go so good. I also managed to get in a touch of Stedman doubles and observed a plain course of Kent Minor. More of everything including another failed, but improved, attempt at Stedman Triples. We eneded with me ringing down bell #5.
A really varied and enjoyable evening's ringing!
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 8 bells with a tenor weighing 10-3-5 in G. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Margaret.
