Hereford Cathedral
The Cathedral Church of St Mary the Virgin and St Ethelbert the King is located near the centre of Hereford. Locating the cathedral is not difficult, pedestrian signs directing you are everywhere.
I counted 168 steps in total from the ground floor entrance in the Lady Chapel up ~100 steps followed by a crosswalk and then more stairs before arriving in the ringing chamber. The room is unlike any other that I have visited with a low oak ceiling and four cast iron pillars.

My first visit on Saturday 22nd September 2012 was as the fourth tower of the WDCRA Southern Branch 2012 Tour.
My ringing here was limited to Rounds & Call Changes. Ring three times on bells, #6, #7 and #8. While the pillars didn't impact my ringing I did find that while watching others ring methods their sight line of some ringers were obscured.
