Lugwardine, St Peter
The Lugwardine Parish Church of St Peter is located in the middle of the village on the south side of the A438. I parked on Rhystone Lane which runs along the east border of the churchyard.
The ringing room is reached by climbing 29 steps up a stone spiral staircase. The entrance is inside the tower.

My first visit on Sunday 1st May 2011 was for the final practical session during the Hereford Ringing Course. In addition to learning our chosen methods we were also getting help on how to improve ringing up and down. I rang up bell #4 and rang down bell #6.
I started out by ringing the focus of my attention during the course, i.e. a touch of Stedman Triples which seemed to go reasonably well. I rang the tenor for a couple of touches of Plain Bob Triples. Three of my fellow students rang Double Norwich and Kent so I could only sit and observe, I've never looked at these methods but my fellow students had rung them on 6 bells. Since my earlier attempt at Stedman Triples had gone ok, I decided to end with a first for me. I tried St Clements Bob Major on bell #2 which went reasonably well until the end when I forgot the 5 dodges!
