Market Bosworth, St Peter
The Market Bosworth Parish Church of St Peter [listing] is located in the east of this small market town beside Church Street.
The church is set in a large, attractive, churchyard bounded. The tower looks rather large for the church. The ringing room is reached by climbing the 34 steps of a wooden spiral staircase, The entrance to the staircase is inside the tower. The ringing room has seating for several people in addition to those ringing the 8 bells with natutal light provided by three narrow windows. The tall tower sways noticeably while ringing.

I visited for the first time on Saturday 14th April 2012 as part of the Annual Ringing Tour of the Harvington Bellringers. Market Bosworth was the third, and final, tower [1st, 2nd] of the ringing part of the tour.
I rang up bell #7 followed by some Rounds and Call Changes. We also managed some plain hunting. These were nice bells to ring and sounded good too.
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 8 bells with a tenor weighing 14-02-05 in E. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Peter with more information provided by the Leicester Diocesan Guild.
