The church is set in a neatly maintained churchyard and the interior is bright and welcoming with a very nice modern stained glass window on the north side. Ringing is from the ground floor.

I visited for the first time on Saturday 14th April 2012 as part of the Annual Ringing Tour of the Harvington Bellringers. Markfield was the second tower [1st, 3rd] of the ringing part of the tour.
Once again I only managed to get a brief time on the bells, I started by ringing up bell #5 followed by some Rounds and Call Changes. I ended by ringing down bell #4. I quite enjoyed the short time ringing but the time was cut short when the stay on bell #3 was broken. Our host made us very welcome and even laid on tea and biscuits!
The Bells
The tower has a ring of 6 bells with a tenor weighing 10-01-15 in G#. Dove's Guide includes details of the bells at St Michael with more information provided by the Leicester Diocesan Guild.
